When life gives you lemons, go walking for six months.
A lot of cultures have a vision quest, walkabout, wander the desert for 40 days and 40 nights. I’m not doing anything particularly special, just a time honored tradition of “I need to walk away from everything and think for a bit”.

Amicalola Falls
Amicalola Falls State Park in Georgia is where I will start my walk, 8 miles away from the Appalachian Trail.
Mount Katahdin
Baxter State park in Maine is where I will end my walk.

The Appalachian Trail
To directly quote Wikipedia:
The Appalachian Trail, also called the A.T., is a hiking trail in the Eastern United States, extending almost 2,200 miles (3,540 km) between Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine, and passing through 14 states.[2] The Appalachian Trail Conservancy claims the Appalachian Trail to be the world’s longest hiking-only trail.[3]More than three million people hike segments of it each year.[4]

J.R.R. Tolkien
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
